The Great Gatsby Songs (2013)Gatsby, one of the most anticipated films of the year, hit theaters this weekend. It was great to finally see how the music was used in the film after all of those trailers. Many may criticize the use of modern music in a film that is set in the 1920′s, others accept is as a modern interpretation of a classic story. While we did hear many of the modern songs, there was also a nice mix of jazz to help balance it all out. Jazz songs included tracks by Irving Aaronson and his Commanders, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and more. They also recorded jazzy versions of the modern soundtrack songs to help them blend in during the party scenes.
